To introduce each subject, each cover highlights the first step of an ascending staircase- not only symbolizing this early stage of understanding but encouraging people to step into the topic and ascend by reading its contents. This staircase is the key element that conjoins not only the font cover, spine, and back cover, but the collection as a whole- the spines creating a continuous ascending effect. The modernity and legibility of Futura in conjunction with a bright friendly colour palette to identify each category make for a design that is not only visually intriguing but neat and ordered as any informative text should present. The addition of photography, fresh and stylish, acts as a window into the contents of the book, piquing the interest of those who are strangers to the subject matter.
